Originally from San Antonio, Karen began her real estate career in home insurance. It was when she and her husband relocated to the Dallas area in 2005, to work as a Scheduling Manager for a settlement company, that she first began to take an interest in the title industry.
From there Karen moved into managing a Disbursement Team. She later became a national closer, and then, when the opportunity arose, she moved into management. She loved interacting with the employees as she helped to train and mentor them. She saw herself as their “cheerleader”, serving the team by ensuring that they performed to their best potential so that they would all reach their professional goals.
Karen exudes a spirited energy that empowers employees to speak freely and honestly. She loves training, mentoring, and collaborating with individuals, as well as teams, to show them how to unify and work together to achieve, not only their common goal, but also their individual professional goals. Karen is recognized for her candor and her willingness to step in and get her hands dirty whenever needed. She provides feedback easily and without hesitation, allowing for quick resolutions to any issues or situations. She delights in learning new things and continues to increase her knowledge with every experience.
When not working, Karen enjoys spending time with her children doing whatever she can do with them before they get too big and “too cool” for Mom. They go biking, swimming or just shopping in the Target toy section. She supports her daughter in volleyball and is considering coaching.
At times Karen can be quiet and seem shy but once she’s comfortable she is extremely personable. She talks fast so pay attention or you may have to ask her to slow down. She loves to chat about anything and everything and can be quite the jokester!
