Hailing from Austin and with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Michael Board's journey into the title industry was serendipitous, sparked by his brother's opportunity with a prominent Houston title company. Unable to relocate, his brother recommended Michael due to their striking similarities. Little did he know, this would mark the beginning of a 24-year career in the field.
The sales profession in general is often associated with pushy sales tactics, but Michael stands out as a patient and laid-back salesperson. He invests time in understanding his customers and letting them know him in return. Michael has collaborated with a diverse array of clients, from Realtors and Builders to Bankers and Lenders, offering a wealth of industry experience, and giving him a broad perspective on customer relationships.
What truly drives Michael professionally is the art of building relationships with customers. He thrives on meeting new people and embraces the ever-changing nature of his work with enthusiasm, and each day's unique challenges with adaptability.
Beyond his professional life, Michael’s personal passions include family, golf (he played at UT and then played professionally before entering the Title industry), and college sports. Away from the office, you'll find Michael on the golf course, enjoying time with friends, or tending to his home, and most likely, ensuring everything is impeccably clean – a testament to his penchant for cleanliness.
Michael's competitive spirit extends beyond his career. After regaining his amateur status he has earned multiple club championships in golf over the past 24 years, demonstrating that competitiveness runs in his blood. Yet, despite his achievements, Michael remains modest, describing himself as a simple guy.
