A native Texan from Plainview, Steve started his career as a Landman in the Oil & Gas business in 1982, soon after graduating from Texas Tech University. After starting a family, Steve transitioned into title insurance, mainly to avoid the extensive travel his previous career required. That move turned out to be one of the best decisions of his life because, as it turned out, he possessed a natural talent for the title industry.

Known for his extensive industry knowledge and truly outstanding customer service, Steve feels he is at his best when resolving difficult situations that could become obstacles to getting a deal done. He views himself as a problem solver and works closely with closers to help anticipate and remedy issues that may arise during a transaction.

Steve’s commitment to service extends beyond his professional role. He was elected to serve on the Texarkana, Texas City Council, giving him another opportunity to contribute to the community he calls home.

Steve is also recognized for his infectiously positive attitude, charismatic personality, and love of life. He greets everyone with a broad smile and is genuinely pleased to see them. Steve says he absolutely loves getting up in the morning and looks forward to whatever the day will bring.

Family has always been an important part of Steve’s life, and he remains deeply devoted to his children. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, good food, an occasional round of golf, and, as he puts it, being “fairly sociable.”
