Janea Merriewether is a Business Development Representative with Capital Title’s Round Rock office, bringing a valuable combination of real estate experience, industry knowledge, and a genuine passion for helping agents grow their businesses. Before joining Capital Title, Janea was a licensed real estate agent and trusted Capital Title with her own clients’ closings. After experiencing the company’s service firsthand, joining the Capital Title business development team became a natural next step.
As a former agent, Janea understands the demands of the real estate business from her clients’ perspective. She is known for helping bridge the gap between title services and an agent’s day-to-day workflow, providing systems, processes, marketing resources, educational opportunities, and business-building support designed to help agents work more efficiently and professionally. Her clients particularly appreciate her reliability, follow-through, and willingness to be a dependable resource.
Janea acquired her real estate license in 2018 and has a PSA designation. Before joining the title industry, she worked with a nationally known, technology-driven brokerage closing more than 40 transactions in 12 months. Today, she works with everyone from new agents launching their careers to seasoned top producers looking to grow and streamline their businesses. For Janea, the most rewarding part of her work is building lasting relationships based on trust and dependability while helping her clients succeed.
Her dedication has earned her recognition both within Capital Title and the Austin real estate community. She received Capital Title’s Momentum Award in 2022 and was named 2025 Title Partner of the Year by the Austin Black Real Estate Professionals Association, an affiliate of the Austin Board of REALTORS®.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Janea brings the hardworking spirit of the Motor City to everything she does. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, enjoying live music, great dining, iced coffee, fashion, and travel to warm destinations with ocean views! Aviation is also close to her heart because her son is a commercial pilot. She is also a proud dog mom to her miniature Cockapoo, Milo.
