Kristin Miles has been part of the title industry since 2010, but her connection to the business began long before that. Growing up in Houston with a mother who built her own career in title, Kristin was introduced to the industry at an early age. After graduating from high school early, she began her career in an entry-level data position and steadily worked her way through a variety of roles, gaining a broad understanding of the people, processes, and details that contribute to a successful closing.
Today, as Escrow Manager for Capital Title’s Houston region, Kristin is known for her ability to solve problems, particularly when transactions become complex or time-sensitive. She has a talent for quickly identifying the heart of an issue, bringing the right people together and finding practical solutions that protect the parties while keeping transactions moving toward the closing table. Her experience includes working with buyers, sellers, real estate professionals, lenders, builders and developers, with particular expertise and interest in complex curative matters and high-volume builder business.
Kristin is equally passionate about developing people and improving operations. She enjoys mentoring team members, helping them understand not only what they do, but why they do it, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, consistency and the overall client experience. Having worked her way through numerous roles within the industry, she brings a genuine appreciation for every person who contributes to a successful transaction, which is an outlook that continues to shape her leadership style.
A Certified Escrow Settlement Professional (CESP) through the Texas Land Title Association, Kristin currently serves on two TLTA committees. She has also been recognized by Capital Title with its Rising Star and Compassionate Awards.
Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, traveling, exploring new places, and making memories together, especially anywhere outdoors or near the water.
