Capital Title welcomes Billy Vaughn to our leadership team as Senior VP. Billy brings over 50 years of title insurance knowledge and experience to Capital Title’s team.
A native Texan, Billy was born on the 4th of July in the deep East Texas town of Lufkin. He is a business graduate of Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. He served in the US Army in the 1950s and has devoted over 50 years of his life to the title insurance industry.
Billy has served as a senior officer of several title agencies and was president of a large national underwriter. He has also served on the board of numerous corporations and charitable organizations including Plano, Texas-based Hendrick Scholarship Foundation which provides scholarships and college success support services to disadvantaged students. Billy is active in the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association and in 1996 was recognized with its Distinguished Award. Billy is also active in the Texas Land Title Association and in 2010 was named an honorary member of that organization. He has been a nationwide speaker on sales, motivation and economic analysis and forecasting. Billy has also served on the National Housing Roundtable.
Three generations of the Vaughn family including Billy, his daughter and his granddaughter are presently working in the title business. “It is exciting to be a part of Capital Title and its great, happy staff that is dedicated to serving the real estate and lending community all across Texas,” Billy said.
